Rosneft Oil Company subsidiaries have once again become winners of a competition launched by the Ministry of Energy of Russia to determine the leading socially oriented company in the oil and gas industry of Russia in 2020.
The Competition Commission of the Ministry of Energy praised the achievements of the Company’s enterprises in the development of corporate culture, professional and personal potential of employees, and healthy lifestyle programme, as well as organisation of labour protection and human resources management. The competition judges emphasised the attention given by Rosneft’s enterprises to the creation of a favourable working environment and the social and cultural development of the regions where they operate.
As part of the Rosneft 2022 Strategy, the Company implements a number of significant social initiatives, such as the Modern Medicine programme aimed to expand the network of industrial health posts, develop telemedicine technologies and implement a qualitatively new health assessment programme; the Active Ageing programme aimed to carry out regular indexation of corporate pensions by investment income of the Company’s pension fund; and the Affordable Housing programme that enables Rosneft workers to improve their housing by preferential target interest-free loans and a decreased mortgage rate of banks--partners of the Company.
The Competition Commission of the Ministry of Energy also noted Rosneft’s achievements in promoting the principles and developing new forms of social partnership.
Upon results of a secret ballot of the Competition Commission, Rosneft and its subsidiaries became winners in the following categories:
The Ministry of Energy of the Russian Federation holds the competition for the top socially oriented company in the Russian fuel and energy sector every year. The 2020 competition and award ceremony were held in a unique hybrid format, both online and offline.
