Rosneft, Novgorod Region and Russian Highways signed a Cooperation Agreement

16 June 2016

Rosneft, the Novgorod Region Government and Russian Highways signed a cooperation agreement during the XX St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The documents were signed by Rosneft Chief executive officer Igor Sechin, Sergey Mitin, Governor of the Novgorod Region, and Sergei Kelbakh, Chairman of the Russian Highways Management Board.

The Agreement provides for multi-functional roadside servicing zones to be developed jointly on M-11 highway (Moscow – St. Petersburg). In particular, Rosneft and Avtodor plan to build at least 2 retail sites as part of Novgorod's multi-functional roadside servicing zones. The terms of the construction and operation will be determined later. The commissioning of fuel stations will be synchronized with the highway construction.

In line with the agreements reached, the Novgorod Region Government will provide required support to roadside infrastructure projects in the region.

This project will make it possible for Rosneft to expand its network coverage and supply high-quality petroleum products to consumers on one of the most promising motor routes in Russia.

Notes for editors:

The Company's retail business geography comprises 59 Russian regions, from Murmansk in the north to the North Caucasus in the south, and from Smolensk in the west to Sakhalin in the east. The Company operating retail network includes 2,557 own and leased retail sites.

At the St.Petersburg International Economic Forum in May 2014, Ronsneft and Avtodor signed an agreement that, among other things, provided for cooperation to develop and find new roadside infrastructure solutions.

The M-11 Moscow – St. Petersburg highway is 669 km long.

The multi-functional roadside servicing zones include: a petrol-filling station, a natural gas-filling station, a charging station for electric cars, parking lots for buses, cars, and trucks, roadside service facilities, a mini-market and other roadside infrastructure facilities.

To date, Avtodor have commissioned 34 multifunction roadside servicing zones, out of which 4 were constructed by Rosneft in the Krasnodar region. The similar servicing facilities will be constructed along the new highways M-11 and the Central Ring Road.
